You can't beat this for the price. There is a lot of junky cat5e cable out there so it is nice to find a good quality product like this for a good price. I would buy it again.

I moved into a new place and a wireless router simply did not cut it for my house. We have 3 PCs, 1 mac, 1 media server, 2 Xbox360s, 3 WiFi phones, and a WiFi web/security camera. This cable allowed me an inexpensive way to hard line the server and the 360s for the MUCH faster speeds that we needed for streaming media and gaming. I was also able to run a quick line to the far side of the house that let me set up a second wireless access point. So this cable not only helped me with the hard lined systems, but now the entire house (even the back yard) gets strong (in most cases full) strength on WiFi for our laptops and cell phones. The cable feeds from the box pretty easily and prevents knotting and tangling. The best part was that I was able to cut the cables into the exact lengths that I needed and easily capped the ends myself and saved a ton of money compared to buying pre-cut, pre-capped, pre-determined length cables. In fact, I would have had to buy 2 100ft cables, 3 50ft cables, and 1 20 or 25ft cable... if I bought that many pre-cut cables the price would have already been as much or more than I paid for this 1000ft reel. Cutting the cable myself let me be more precise and less wasteful so I have only used about 300ft of the cable and it has already paid for itself compared to those prefab cables. That means I still have more than two thirds of the cable left for future projects, essentially for free. If you don't mind capping cable yourself then get a cheap crimper and a spool like this and cut your cabling costs in half or better.

What can I say, it's network cable! The price is what attracted me to this brand, and I wasn't expecting much given how cheap it was. But WOW! This is quality, the cable is the full 24AWG solid core made of pure copper, and the color-coding is probably the best I've seen (bright distinct color with good striping on the white/colored wires). The jacket is pure white, and has a good feel to it.

Anyone who has made network cables knows how much of a pain it is to fit the wire into the ends when it doesn't "behave" as it should. This wire has a very tactile feel to it, and when you bend and straighten the wires, they stay where you put them! This makes putting on ends much easier, and also fitting the wire into wall-jack punchdown conectors. I at no point over-stripped the wire (due to the rugged jacket), and had no breaks of the individual strands (which surprised me, I made over 50 perfect connections with this wire so far).

If you need a 1000ft spool of network wire, this is a great deal and is quality cable! Thanks VideoSecu!
